Campus & clinical videoYour years at Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences
5.5 years, in orderPre-clinical years
Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry — the same pre-clinical sequence the Indian MBBS curriculum follows.
Nepal Medical Council ↗Clinical years
Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Paediatrics. Every college approved by the Medical Education Commission is attached to a teaching hospital, and both clinical training and the internship are completed there. Hospital size and case mix differ substantially between colleges, and it is a fair question to put to any college you are considering.
Nepal Medical Council ↗Internship in Nepal
Five and a half years: four and a half years of academic study followed by a compulsory one-year internship at an affiliated teaching hospital. This mirrors the Indian MBBS structure. The Nepal Medical Council provides provisional registration to MBBS and BDS students for the duration of their one-year internship at affiliated teaching hospitals, permitting supervised practice during that period.
Nepal Medical Council ↗NMC screening, in India
The National Exit Test is the screening examination replacing the FMGE, conducted by the National Board of Examinations. Clearing it, followed by one year of supervised internship in India, is what converts a foreign medical degree into a licence to practise in India.

This sequence is set by Nepal Medical Council and National Medical Commission (India) regulation, not by Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences individually — it is the same for every MEC-approved college. We do not have this college's specific teaching hospital on file — ask us, or ask the college directly.
