College Selection via MEC Nepal
All Nepal MBBS admissions are regulated by the Medical Education Commission (MEC Nepal). Select only MEC-approved colleges that are also NMC India recognised. Verify both lists before deciding.
Documents & Application
Required: 10th+12th marksheets (notarised), NEET scorecard, valid passport, medical fitness certificate, character certificate. Apply via MEC Nepal official portal only.
Seat Confirmation & Fee Payment
MEC Nepal runs transparent seat-matching. Pay fees ONLY directly to the college — never to agents. Verify official MEC fee ceiling at mec.gov.np before any payment.
Travel to Nepal — no visa required
Indian citizens don't need a visa for Nepal under the India-Nepal bilateral open border agreement. Valid Indian passport or Aadhaar card is sufficient. Direct buses and flights available.
MBBS → NExT / FMGE → India Practice
5.5 years total. After graduation: clear NExT or FMGE (by NBE India) + complete 1 year supervised internship in India → receive licence to practice medicine in India.
